I finished in less than 2 hours. The plot wasn't that well written or great. Secret societies, ancient magic, saving the world from evil, blah blah blah, the usual. But nothing made the game stand out as unique among similar point-and-click games. It's a decent, casual point-and-click, but I wouldn't recommend buying it for full price (which is currently $10). Then again, I can be miserly.. Ruined by the lack of voice acting. Really couldn't recommend as a result.. If you like PNC adventure games, you might like this. It is mostly in 2.5D. The puzzles were just right: hard enough to be amusing but easy enough to avoid frustrating you. The story is a little slow at first, but gets interesting about half-way through. There are bits of voice acting at the beginning and at the end, but for most of the game you get the dialog by reading text. I got it on sale for about $3 and I feel I got my money's worth in entertainment.. I wish I could say I was impressed, but I wasn't. A short little game with some very interesting puzzles interspersed with a forgettable and excessively railroady plot, some each of really straight forward, "guess the item", and "I did something elsewhere which silently enabled this" puzzles, and pretty-but -grainy graphics. I do have to give the game props for having a "speedwalk" button and supporting double-click travel to rooms you've already visited. There are some games I've liked much better overall which I found myself giving up on because of how slowly the protagonist moved. If you've picked it up as part a bundle which had other games you wanted, it might be worth an hour or two of your time on a long, boring day. But I wouldn't make playing it a high priority, and I definitely wouldn't reccomend buying it for its own sake.. Well, it's a pretty easy game, very linear, but entertaining enough if you got it on sale for a few bucks (6,99 euro current normal price, is too much IMHO) (I got it in a bundle if I'm not mistaken). The biggest thing I missed was the speech, the intro and the final video do have spoken lines, but that's about it.The story is simple but likable, the puzzles are pretty easy, and no 'dead' ends. This is a good adventure to play as your first (in this 2.5d adventure genre), took me about 3 hours (and thats including a break and leaving the game open). If you're a seasoned adventurer you might find it way WAY too easy.So for me to make this game a little better, they should have done voice-acting throughout. I'd rather have bad voice-acting than no voice-acting at all.I didn't experience any technical difficulties, I played at 2560x1440 which will give you black borders at the side, but I didn't mind, ofcourse it would have been better if it was at least 16:9 instead of 4:3.I don't know if they did another adventure after this, but I'll certainly would play it.. I beat this game but honestly, after about 10 minutes of gameplay, it was out of sheer spite. The puzzles, what few there are, either aren't challenging or are barely coherent in what the objective is. There is little to no plot and what plot there is happens to be a even tackier version of the Mummy (the Tom Cruise one too, not even the so bad it's good Brendan Fraiser version). The decision to force the main character to walk through the very few very sparsely decorated areas is one I can't grasp - at least they gave you the option to either speed it up if you've never been there or to double click and skip it if it's an area you're backtracking to. And there is quite a bit of backtracking. The only positive thing I can say is that, if you get stuck on one of the nonsensical puzzles or objectives you have to do, at least a walkthrough is included right in the game so you can just follow it and get the thing over with. But as far as my opinion goes, your money is better off staying in your wallet than being spent on this.. Ruined by the lack of voice acting. Really couldn't recommend as a result..
